If you use HTPASSWD authentication icecast web stats will show you there username next to their IP.
I request a feature added so that when you use URL authentication you can return a header including a username/identification so it will be displayed on the stats. |

Are you saying that you don't supply username/password into auth but you want auth to set those details? are you using the query args for actual verification?

My users authenticate to the stream by logging into my site. They are then given a url with a token that is passed to icecast. Icecast passes that token to my url authentication script which confirms that token is valid and good for that IP.
I would then like to return to icecast a header with their actual user name so it will show that user name on the icecast listeners page for that stream next to their IP. |
