|
|
Running Icecast 2.3.3-kh5 on Windows 2003 Server. Two mounts, each fed by different encoders. Since updating to this version each mount will stop and restart on it's own every day or two. Each mount will do this independently of the other...not the same day or time as the other. When this happens the Peak Listeners variable is reset. Have not seen anything in the error log (Config set to log level 1). Should I set the log level to 2 to see if anything interesting shows up? |

More info:
Changed log level to 2. I noticed a log entry timestamped 12 seconds before one of the mounts restarted this morning.
Code: |
[2012-10-23 11:04:12] WARN format-mp3/validate_mpeg no frames detected for /2ngtest (20040) |
Does this mean anything? |

The usual trigger for a mount termination is a timeout or an end of stream notification from the source client. The timeout case will usually log as a warning but the cause can be varied.

It started happening right after installing this version. I think I may roll back to an earlier version to confirm whether or not it has something to do with 2.3.3-kh5. |

Rolled back to 2.3.2-kh32. One of the mounts still restarts once or twice a day, but less often than with 2.3.3-kh5. The other mount has been running continuously for two weeks without a restart. |

Rolled back to Icecast 2.3.2-kh29. Rock solid now. Not sure of the exact release where this problem started... |
