I've put a listen.pls file in the icecast2 directory. The file load perfectly but people say that they get a error message from winamp in this style :
error reading stream sync.... something like that...
do you have a clue of the problem ?
thanks. |

that message used to occur because of the extension mismatch, ie an ogg stream given a mountpoint ending in .mp3. winamp then fed the ogg content through the mp3 decoder and failed to sync to frame as there were no mp3 frames. The fix was a simple rename of the mountpoint.

I have found my problem. I've put a "intro file" in my Mount....so I took it off and everything is working great now. Somehow, winamp did not like that file. It was a intro.ogg file.

yes, when you feed ogg content to a mountpoint that winamp expects to be mp3 then it will have frame sync issues.
