I am trying to remove intro files from defined mount points by commenting out the intro lines in the .xml file, then issuing the kill -HUP [pid] command, but the intro files continue to play. I am almost positive that I have done this successfully before, but I could be wrong. Should that work, or must I stop and restart the Icecast process to stop the intro? My system:
CentOS 5.2
Icecast 2.3.2
Thanks,

There should be no reason for that to not work. Make sure the changes are applying, obviously an xml parsing failure would prevent the changes applying for example. As always check your log file.

Thanks for confirming. It's a real mystery.
