Icecast 2 Server and Relay

I am using the relay structure across a busy DSL link. As such bandwidth can temporarily run out. Is there a way of buffering from source server to relay server ? Thank you.

There isn't a a way to add latency within the relay only, in theory you could add some via some external app, for instance relay like normal with a large timeout, and a large burst, then read with curl using a limit-rate setting and pipe through a source client like oggfwd or maybe use ezstream, to another mountpount. That way the burst gives the lag and the curl or ezstream limits the catchup by timing it.
