|
|
I am wondering how to start doing this or if its available online, which I tried searching and I failed.
I was using shoutcast for my personal website. I placed statistics like the last 10 songs played. I did that by connecting to the admin interface in php and just grab the info and thats all.
People on irc recommended to use icecast, so today I was trying it out. I really liked it, and I seen alot of scripts in this forum that does nice things:).
So It there a php script out there that grabs the last 10 songs in playlist, and the current song being played, if not where can I access the information about those stats so I could make a script myself...
thanks for you time:) |

I'm using a cron job to run a php script that parses the http://mysite.com:8000/admin/stats.xml and records to database every minute.
Because the server is on the same machine as my site and it's using the xml stats rather than the full blown stats page it's fairly lightweight. |

With 2.3, you can also connect as a stats client and monitor events that come through, a simple example can be done with
curl -X STATS http://admin:pw@host:port/
This will probably be extended on in later releases but it may prove useful to some.

Yes I would also like to post a listing of the last 10 songs/artists played.
What is the best way to do this?
Could this be implemented in the next release? |

I'm also interested in this functionality. Has anyone found a solution? |

There is a playlist log that can be processed as well. Just get the last 10 lines of updates relating to the mountpoint you want.
