Icecast Streaming Media Server

Hello, I'm a newbie webmaster at a college radio station and we've been using icecast to broadcast over the internetfor years, but Idon't have much experience with it. We recently switched IP addresses to fit into the campus's new network and icecast has been functioning poorly ever since. As in, no one was able to connect to the stream and the stats page came up consistently empty.

I don't know why this would be true. Also, at one point I killed the old instance of icecast in order to restart it and now when I try to icecast -b all I get is:

Starting icecast2
Detaching from the console

and then the help file, and the program doesn't run.

Any idea what's going on?

also now when i try to log into the web-based admin account i get an error "Could not parse XSLT file"

check your error log and xml, it may be that you have a configuration that needs updating to reflect the system changes you made. Obviously we have no way of knowing any specifics.
