|
|
Hi
I have successfully got my station to list within the Icecast directory.
But I now have hopefully two simple queries, which I am having
trouble working out how to do myself.
As you can see from the below screen capture of the listings within
the Icecast directory. My station 'CGM UKScene - RasPi MPD Stream'
is listing but does not have an associated link to my website assigned
to the station name (shown in the red cloud No.1), whereas the other
stations listed below mine have a link associated to their name.
So I was wondering if anyone could explain where / how I can assign
my stations website URL to my stations name, so people can click
through to my website from within the directory listing.
Also how can I have an embedded stream player (as shown in the blue cloud No.2)
for my station? Is there a setting somewhere that I need to enable?
Thanks in advance

Regarding your prob #1:
try setting a
Code: |
<stream-url>...</stream-url> |
inside a mount sections in your icecast.xml
That should set up the a wished link on the directory listing. Do not confuse of stream-url vs. listen-url. The latter is the "real stream url" to listen to, the former is mentioned to lead to a website as you wish. |

to also cover the second part:
The directory is operated by Xiph, which promotes free and patent licensing unencumbered codecs. Thus we promote those on the directory by enabling direct playback using an <audio> element next to the listing. So if you want that, please consider streaming in Opus or Vorbis. |
