Hi,
Can IceCast broadcast mp3 music over a private lan having the mp3 files into the hdd?
I've recently installed icecast2 on freeBSD6 box. What else do I have to install to do that?
Thanks... |

a source client, so that the stream is created and sent to icecast.

Hi,
The server is freeBSD6 and the clients are winXP with WMP and Winamp.
The mp3 files are in the server (freeBSD6). How do I configure IceCast to read mp3 file and send them over the network?
Thanks... |

Again, you configure a source client to read those mp3 files and to send the resulting stream to icecast. icecast does not create streams itself. check ezstream or ices 0.4 as examples.
