Karl,

I need a quick clarification on how fallback streams operate.

My situation is following:

Stream A has a fallback stream B

User 1 connects to stream A
User 2 connects to stream B

In case A is not playing, both users get B which is fine.
But if now A kicks in, both get A? Is there a way to make sure both get what they wanted (ie user 1 gets A and user 2 keeps getting B)?

This isn't a bug, it's intended. There are many combinations of fallbacks and you have identified one. What you want to do is isolate fallback listeners from listeners that specifically request B but they both get the same content.

The trick here is to use a local relay. You have A fallback to say B1 where B1 is a relay of B. B1 can be marked hidden and on-demand if you want.

There is an argument to have a specific option that creates this type of relay automatically but currently you have to specifiy it explicitly.

karl.
