Include a way to keep the highest peak reached since icecast is running on the machine. Or, if not possible, per session (system reboot or icecast start).
Cos i run a aserver where different DJ's connect every hour and everytime the DJ's switch, the stzream peak number starts from scratch.
Brings me to another point:
Keep connection at switches like shoutcast is able too. I need to force the listeners to hit repeat in their players with the stream url as the only file in the playlist. This sucks mucho |

The peak number issue is awkward as it's really a question of the policy to use. If we leave the peak around then in situations other than yours we can get lots of stats left over.
Your latter point would tend to indicate that you are missing the right setup. Try using a DJ stream, a backup stream and a relay to bounce between those 2 streams using fallback and fallback-overide as the trigger mechanism. The relay maintains the peak listeners count, listeners connections are kept active during switchovers and you avoid wasting system resources like shoutcast does in the same situation.
