|
|
Hello,
I am running Icecast and ices as a source client.
The above mentioned are running on a VPS and having difficulties accessing the stream.
First I start the icecast streamer (with no problems), then i start ices and recieve the following:
| Code: |
Logfile opened
Playing /home/mp3/tier1/Accordion.mp3
Mounted on http://127.0.0.1:8000/ices |
Now it says that it's playing on mountpoint http://127.0.0.1:8000/ices, but when I try to access it on the public IP (ex http://240.253.213.12:8000/ices), I can't connect.
Can someone please tell me how to either re-mount the stream so I can listen to it publicaly, or tell me where I am going wrong. Thanks, |

Check whether you can access the status page. If you cannot then it's the server you cannot access and therefore you need to check your networking

the admin page is /admin/stats.xsl but the status page is /status.xsl although we define / to be an alias for it.

Well if your on the local network as the server you need to use the local ip of the server. if you want to trick you OS you can always put it in te hhost file the external name(not ip) and local ip.
but you should get an page is you go to the root of the server. And a page shuld come up. Dont have to access to admin page. |
