Hello there!

I'm using listener authenticcation w. htpasswd and are looking into ways how to use the same file for apache2 to restrict the use of www-pages associated to streams. (song requesting etc). For some reason Apache2 (on debian, if that should matter) can't use it, simply not recognizing the user/password entered. I know user/pass is right since I can use the stream.

To my understanding icecast2 htapsswd-file is the same md5-hash as the htaccess-file in apache2 is, or am i wrong?

Any ideas?

same problem: I used below command in linux to generate the password. the password saved is not recognised by stream

# htpasswd -b -m myauth2 check check

Do we have to use any other tool to generate the password from the command line?
