hi everyone,

i'm using icecast to relay my shoutcast streams. unfortunately icecast disconnect's from the shoutcast source stream after some hours. consequently all listeners are bounced and everyone has to wait until icecast connect's to the source again.

i have no explanation for this. shoutcast and icecast are running on the same machine (fedora). in shoutcast there is noch maximum listenertime set. do you have a clue?

Icecast's log file should tell you why icecast disconnected. Can you find the relevent section and tell us what it says? You might have to increase the log level - level 4 (debug) can be helpful for tracking down the causes of problems.

debug level 4 was activ since months. the error log got bigger than 2GB!!! i found some lines corresponding to my problem but cannot interpret them.
