Hi!
I've set up an icecast server but i can stream to it on every mountpoint ?!
sample:
I've limited the mountpoint /stream.ogg with a max number of 5 listeners. Now the DJ just streams to /stream2.ogg and all the limits don't catch anymore (via oddcast) - max listeners shows unlimited....
Can i bind the dj on this one mountpoint (/stream.ogg) ? I don't want that the dj can make his own mountpoint without any limits?!
(so when the dj tries to connect to mountpoint /stream2.ogg an error occurs or anything else would be great)

The DJ has to pass authentication to icecast before they can start streaming, if you give them a user/pass that is only specified for the <mount> of /stream.ogg then they won't be able to use any other mountpoint. Check the <username> and <password> settings <mount>

Oh, yeah! Thank you ! I don't know where to set the username in Oddcast (possible?) but the Password section helped. I just added '<password>PASS</password>' to the mountpoint and it works great! Thanks!  |

some source clients assume a username of 'source' and don't allow you to override that but if that ever gets implemented then icecast will allow it.
