|
|
Hi,
I tried to install on to my QNAP NAS box which runs a "non kernal"? version of linux (according to their support).
When i run configure i get a message about checking for a BSD-compatible install then I get an error when I try to compile an install - no acceptable compiler found in $PATH
Someone help as I am no Linux expert and I do not want to run a machine all the time just for Icecast if my NAS server can do it.

not really the right forum, but whenever you compile a package from source, you'll need a compiler. gcc is the typical choice.
