^^well that sounds great. but i can't help ya as i just started with all theses things and need to learn the basics first Smile
what i need is a connection to mysql so people can fill a form and enter new files to the playlist. an interface for ezstream would help in the beginning.

might be also good to change from ezstream_mp3.xml to ezstream_vorbis.xml so you can mix up, or much better: try to allow both in one ezstream_xml

For the moment the php portion is on pause... I'm trying to clean up my collection's id3 tags and tinker with id3v2 support in ezstream.....

Hi Fat64,

take a look at phpRadio (http://theholbrooks.org/phpRadio). Its opensource and uses php/MySQL. It might be something for you?

Does anyone know if there is a similar interface like TuneQueue running on windows (and C# asp.net)?

about a week ago, i've looked into this myself ...
the only viable solution i came across that doesn't need an external database running (which i consider kind of bloat) is music player daemon along with phpMp2 as user interface. mpd maintains its own database, the latter is just a bunch of php scripts. i'm quite satisfied with these two right now ... have a look at musicpd.org .
to use it with icecast2, you'll have to compile a recent 0.12-svn-snapshot by normalperson. the 0.11 release doesn't support icecast. it's a pretty straightforward process, really ...

with kind regards,
thoralf.

Back after a brief hiatus for exams I'm back at work. In the last two day's I've actually modified the ezstream client a LOT. It doesn't take playlist or straight files though the config anymore, it's totally set up to pull tracks from a mysql database that contains a music library. One table for your library, another for a running queue. Should there be a song in the queue it'll play that, of the queue is empty it'll shuffle through the library.

For me personally this is perfect... I can now create a PHP frontend and just use MySQL rather than having to keep track of files and playlists manually through PHP.

It's all a bit mess and I'm working on cleaning it up, but if anyone's interested I'd be perfectly willing to share code or make a list of specific changes.
