Hello,

I need to keep editing the playlist according to different times. Like at 6am in the evening, I need to play another list without interupting the current song being played. I thought I would just append new songs to the playlist and it will automatically play the next song in the playlist (using ices 0.4).

but what's happening is it keeps using the same old playlist until it's killed and restarted. Any idea how should i achieve what i need to do ?

one option would be create your own playlist module that chooses what to play. you can pick from python, perl, and shell script.

I think there are example scripts included with the distro. ices.pm.dist ices.py.dist, etc and you just need to expand on the function that gets the next track.
