Icecast Streaming Media Server

I'm trying to set up an Icecast stream and in default settings, everything works great. After that it's time to secure the stuff, so I want to change the default password 'hackme' into something else. But most of the times it doesn't matter where I change it in in the .xmnl-file, you need the default 'hackme' to connect to the server. Most of the times the client will disconnect straight away when I connect to the server with the new password. I did manage to get it working with a new password once of twice, but now it doesn't work anymore.
Restarting server and client after changing the password and stuff like that doesn't help.
Any suggestions?

On win32 there isn't a hook to trigger the xml re-read, there should probably be a /admin link to trigger it. Restarting the server will cause a re-read of the xml, so if changes are being made then it's to the wrong file.
