I have a dynamic IP address on this system, and the broadcasting computer is on a network behind a router. I can't seem to connect to it using my external IP, and I'm not sure why. My IP changes everytime I connect to the internet, and this is a regular broadcast station, not a 24hr one. I am registered with NO-IP.com, and have a Update Client, but it doesn't make a difference. The router also has a NAT setting enabled.

Anyone have any suggestions?

use the no-ip.com dns name for the <hostname> and check that external requests are being sent to icecast. You may have NAT or firewall considerations.

yes the router is behind a NAT.

The system is firewalled too. I have put ports 8000 and 8001 as a service, so that the firewall allows them, however, when i disable the NAT my internet connection doesn't work atall, on any of the computers.

I will have another PC coming soon (from a friend), that I am hoping to dedicate as a server with ICECAST on it, is there any way I can get around these NAT prblems?
