no one can listen to my radio station please help

i followed th tutorial here http://www.poromenos.org/tutorials/icecast
note i couldnt get this guy to respond and help so i can here
my ip is 24.145.225.171
http://24.145.225.171:8000/stream.ogg
any ideas y only the people on my network can listen to my radio station?

we don't have enough information to give a definite answer, but when no connection can be attained externally then either/both of the following things need to be checked.

1. Firewall, you need to allow the ports that icecast is using.
2. NAT. port forwarding needs to be setup correctly if required.

Your network admin should be able to easily check these.

well i got no firewalls and as for NAT. port forwarding i got no qlue what that is.

In a normal router setup; the computers behind the router are not accessible from the outside works. "Port Forwarding" refers to configuring the router to pass-through requests from the outside world to a particular computer.

For example, you will want to set your router to pass-through any requests received on port 8000 to the machine that is actually running Icecast. It appears that no forwarding is defined; so your Icecast server is unavailable to the outside world.
