Like several users in this forum I cannot list my radio station in the xiph stream directory. I have the xiph yp server listed in my icecast 2.2.0 config file:

<directory>
<yp-url-timeout>15</yp-url-timeout>
<yp-url>http://dir.xiph.org/cgi-bin/yp-cgi</yp-url>
</directory>

I have turned on public listing in the ezstream-0.1.1 config file:

<svrinfopublic>1</svrinfopublic>

The svrinfogenre and svrinfodescription have been set up. I am using the same parms as when I previously streamed mp3.

I have created oggvorbis files to be streamed, and confirmed that they are being streamed correctly by using a VLC client.

I get the following error message in the icecast error log, when I turn on full debugging:

[2006-08-21 17:58:17] INFO main/main icecast server started
[2006-08-21 17:58:25] INFO connection/_handle_source_request Source logging in at mountpoint "/DonDodd"
[2006-08-21 17:58:25] DBUG source/source_main Source creation complete

[2006-08-21 17:58:25] DBUG geturl/curl_print_header_result Message -> (We only accept Ogg stream listings)
[2006-08-21 17:58:25] DBUG geturl/curl_print_header_result Touch Freq -> (0)
[2006-08-21 17:58:25] DBUG geturl/curl_print_header_result Response -> (0)
[2006-08-21 17:58:25] EROR yp/yp_submit_url Got a NAK from yp_add(We only accept Ogg stream listings) (http://dir.xiph.org/cgi-bin/yp-cgi)

Listing in the stream directory worked perfectly for me when xiph was allowing mp3 streams, so I believe that I must have set up everything correctly. Yet why can't my stream be listed?

Appreciate any tips you can give me. Thanks.

Firstly 2.2.0 is an old release now. The xiph YP is currently disallowing non-ogg streams because a misconfiguartion was causing heavy load on the server. The misconfiguration is fixed but is waiting for someone to remove the non-ogg filter.

Thank you for your reply. However, I thought that I was sending an OGG stream. What am I doing wrong?

Your mountpoint doesn't have a .ogg extension which would tend to indicate something like mp3.
