run icecast Guest

i have ran icecast 2.2.0 inside my server for this i have used one of my shells with ssh access, in this shell i dont have the usr and local folders, when i install icecast it creates a folder name icecast in which i look for the config files, my question is, is it necessary to have this folders or create them? so i can run icecast? |

Assuming the dependancies are all fine, you can install with the prefix changed, whether with configure or make. Icecast takes the paths it uses from the xml file you provide on the command line so no system directories are needed but /usr/local is the default prefix.
Check configure- -help for the available settings.

i ont remember how can i give permit to a folder for create sub folders because am getting this when i execute make install with libshout 2.1:mkdir -p -- "/usr/local/include/shout"
mkdir: cannot create directory `/usr/local/include/shout': Permission denied
