Icecast Streaming Media Server

Hi, recently I've been experimenting with online radio and streaming.

I tried it with Icecast 2 and Oddcast v.3 as my encoder (?)

It worked when I hosted it on my local machine, so I purchased a server from www.mediacast1.com

That's where everything began to tear apart.

I couldn't figure it out, I thought it would be simple, like connect Icecast, connect Oddcast, done.

But it doesnt seem to work.

Basically, here are my questions broken down into simple sentences:

1) How do I configure Icecast v.2 to connect to the server I bought?
2) How do I configure Oddcast v.3 to connect.
3) Where do I play my music? On my computer? Do I upload it?

That's it. Since I'm such an idiot, these are probably unbelivably simple questions, but I did pay money for the server and would like to get it to work.

providers like mediacast1 run the icecast servers, so your first point is confusing as the icecast should be up and running. All you need to do or make sure the source client (oddcast) connects.
The source client encodes your music content to provide the stream.
