I have icecast2 service running on a windows XP SP2 machine and wanted to use the ezstream to build my content files, unfortunately the win32 install of ezstream seems to forget about the desktop shortcut and does not run from the run box. Could someone tell me if it is not useable with XP or not. I could still cut and paste the example files and edit those with a little extra work. Is anyone out there using it and if so how did you get it to work ?
Thanks have a great weekend

Well, you may have found the answer, but if not, follow this.
(I'm using XP SP2 and Icecast 2 aswell, so this should work.)
(My main drive is 'C:\', your's may be different.)
Goto Start -> Run and type in 'CMD'. This'll bring up a command box. Old school.
Type in 'cd C:\Program Files\ezstream'. Press enter.
Now, type in 'ezstream -c ezstream.xml'. Press enter.
It'll start sending songs to your Icecast Server.
If this dosen't work, I dunno. That's how I got mine working. |
