Icecast Streaming Media Server

hey guys .. im totaly new at linux and also streaming over lan ..

i tried to get the icecast server started and streaming with ices .. but without any result.

i need a newbie-friendly tutorial .. thats suitable for beginners like me ... please help me ..

we (our company) want to start a internal "radio-stream" ... we use kubuntu linux and xmms as player. can u explain me how it should work?! etc?

i tried a lot of tutorials, but nothing works for me. please help ..
