Icecast Streaming Media Server

We are doing this using oddcastv3 and a Windows Server 2003 server.

We are trying to setup an Icecast2 server. It was installed on a WS 2003 server, and Icecast launched/installed fine. Then we go download lame_enc.dll and put it in the C:\windows\system folder on both the server and my computer. After that, we try and connect using MP3 Lame option in Oddcast, and it says "error with lame_enc.dll". Then we try switching to AAC plus, and it connects fine, but then no one is able to play the stream getting errors of No aacp plugin. We want to stream using lame. Any idea what we're doing wrong? Are we placing lame_enc in wrong folder on the server? Thank you.

Hi...

I'm using win 2003 server too, we got same problem, and I'm already fix it, maybe u can follow my step :

follow this instructions first http://www2.geo.uib.no/Healy-2005/MMO/streaming/streaming-install-windows.htm

and if still didn't work follow next instruction:

1. download file 'lame_enc.dll' from http://www.free-codecs.com/Lame_Encoder_download.htm

2. after u extract the downloaded file, copy the 'lame_enc.dll' to the your winamp folder (example C:\Program Files\Winamp\lame_enc.dll)

3. try again...
