Hello there y'all. I have a rather odd question. Have you ever had Icecast running beautiflyy for more then 2 weeks straight, make a simple adjustment to somthing else in your system, say postfix for internal email, and then have to reboot only to come back to ices not wanting to fly? The Icecast server startsup as expected, but the several streams that I had running for weeks straight, now says invalid playlist file when ices is run. here is a snippet of what i am talking about ...

( /etc )
# ices /etc/ices4.xml
Logfile opened
Could not find a valid playlist file.
Ices Exiting...
ever had this happen? I checked all my playlists and every one of them worked when played, also , I checked to verify my IP is correct for the sources and bind-to address (althought it was kinda pointless to do this as Icecast was running fine) But I'll be damned if I can figure out why all of a sudden I cant get my streams to fly like they did before. Any ideas? And oh yeah, the log file doesnt exactly help at this point.

That invokation is wrong, to specify a configfile you need to use the -c flag.

| Boy am i glad you guys are around to be able to point out the little mistakes in life that will drvie a person mad. I cant believe that. Well, since it had been 2 weeks prior to running it again, i must have forgotten the -c . Thanks alot |
