Just to warn you, I'm pretty much a newb here. Anyways I recently installed Icecast and the configuration file seems to be in a format different than I remember it from a while back. I'm having trouble wrapping my head around the mountpoints. My goal is to have a live broadcast in mp3 format at two different bitrates.
If it matters I am running Icecast on Debian Etch. Also I read somewhere that I might need something called "Stream Transcoder" to accomplish what I want to do, so I managed to compile and install that as well as all of the necessary libraries to go along with it.
Mostly I need help and clarification on setting up mountpoints to do the two mp3 streams (an example config file would be great) and I realize this might not be the place for it, but any help on making Stream Transcoder work with Icecast to do what I need would be insanely great and I couldn't thank you enough. |

A mountpoint is just a reference for a stream. If you intend to have 2 streams (low and high bitrate) then you'll have 2 mountpoints (eg /low.mp3 and /high.mp3). There really isn't much to it.
