|
|
I'm currently using ices2 to send a playlist stream to the icecast server (which happens to be on the same machine at the moment).
I would like to have several playlist streams running on different mounts.
As I understand it, ices0 can have multiple copies running to feed multiple streams with different configs to the server (I have a friend doing this).
However, ices0 does not support ogg, so that's not an option.
And for some reason, ices2 apparently does not support having multiple copies running.
When I try, the last one I launch crashes immediately.
This also happened on another box when I had an mpd stream sending to the icecast server and tried to start an ices2 stream at the same time.
Any suggestions/solutions?
Thanks.

you can run multiple ices2 processes at the same time but make sure you have the latest ices2 and libshout.

Thanks!
I forced gentoo to update to 2.0.1 and now multiple copies run fine.
