Difficult question to answer!
Icecast is a server. Flash video is a format. There are no obvious points of commonality on which to compare them.

Your question still doesn't make sense.
Icecast is a SERVER. Flash video is a FORMAT. These are not the same things.
(also, last I checked, things like youtube just did http file serving, not true streaming)

| I understand that Icecast is a server. On this forum you are talking about streaming multimedia (mpeg, avi) and I am talking about flash video .flv (did you ever work with this, shure you know what I am talking about- see on youTube.com). So I asked in general about advantages and disadvatages of both of them. |
