hey,
im having trouble setting up a relay station on winXP. i think my configs are right, i run the server and it says source_relay_connections 1 so im assuming that means i got the relay station to send the stream to it. but when i try to connect in threw winamp on my comp or any other comp it just says connecting.... and never connects. i think that ment that it cant find the server. im in a network running a linksys wireless speedbooster router, im on a wireless connection to the router. i got dsl line running to router. i set up port forwarding to forward any requests for port 8000 to my internal ip(which this has worked out for any other problems ive had with the network and programs and server hosting) and i have no firewall running but i still dont get connections into the server. any ideas? |

The only thing that icecast could be misconfigured with is if the <bind-address> tags are used in the xml file, most people don't need them. Accessing the /status.xsl file with your browser is another test that you can do but if routing/firewall issues are causing the problem then that won't work either.
