Hi,
i have set up an icecast2 server with darkice. I use debian sarge shell only. My inputmodule is my soundcard with a CD Player. Now id like to stream the titel and artist of the songs.
Is there an opportunity to create a dynamic metadata stream for my listeners?

if the darkice source client does not provide a metadata interface then you can use the admin interface of icecast to get metadata

| ok i can entry there an artist and title but it seems that i have to feed in the data every time the song changes manually. I took a look at the darkice config and it doesnt seem to provide any kind of playlist entries. Is there an opportunity to update the title and artist automatically? |

That task is up to the source client, icecast cannot do that as it does not have access to the original files.
