It would be desirable to have an opportunity smooth crossing between two streams Smile

Is this possible in any way shape or form? I use Centova cast, but can't utilise it's built in player because there is no fade settings (that I know of).

It uses icecast's feature to fall back to the auto dj when no external source is connected, which is great but when our DJ's connect it abruptly interrupts the stream.

I guess a 'Fade to pause' feature would help in the player. But it would be even better if icecast could detect a new source and crossfade to it.

fading requires a full decode which is not what icecast does. ices0 (like others) have a cross fade option if reencoding, but whether it suits your situation is hard to say.
