well..
im trying to configure it and thats what i got:
internet IP: 83.8.59.185
local IP: 10.0.0.109
ports 8000 and 8001 are forwarded and i can stream using winamp and shoutcast.
(the password is propass, just like in IceCast's config)

when i check
- http://10.0.0.109:8000/status.xls in browser - browser shows "The file you requested could not be found", client_connections and connections increase by 1 point,
- http://83.8.59.185:8000/live.ogg in winamp - its "Connecting..." forever
whats wrong?  i've read many other topics and couldnt find the solution. i hope you karl help me. thanks, see you |

As you see the following
"The file you requested could not be found"
that means that icecast is returning, the fact that the request is for ...xls and not .xsl would be the reason for the above message.
With winamp always saying connecting, that would indicate that the forwarding of the ports is not working as you expect it to be or there is some other firewall blocking access. You should be able to access the status.xsl page from outside as well, so that is a good test to use.

http://10.0.0.109:8000/status.xls works and the ports are forwarded good:
as i said before, shoutcast works with these ports.
are you sure all the settings are okay? Icecast says: sources 0 and shouldnt be it 1 for Traktor? it looks like Traktor doesnt connect with Icecast. what shall i do?
oh and why there is no file "live.ogg" in this folder?
shouldnt it be created or should i create it? how to? |

If an external browser can see the status.xsl page then the forwarding works and no connections are being blocked. If you say that shoutcast works in the same situation then that is opposite to what you said wrt winamp as that could not estanblish a connection. The status page is the first test to pass.
regarding your xml, obviously your <hostname> is wrong but won't affect most things. The sources stat should increase if there is a stream active but it's not possible for me to comment on why traktor isn't connecting, could an app issue, or auth issue.
If /live.ogg is meant to be the mountpoint as defined in traktor then no there won't be a file named live.ogg in webroot as it is a source client provided stream
