Hi everyone,
i have installed an icecast server, with mpd as source client. I control the playlist with ncmpc...
The point is that my stream is well read by moc (Music on Console on Linux) and Amarok but none of VLC or Windows Media Player can't reach the stream... either from inside or outside my network...
i got these messages on the warning console of VLC:
Code: |
mpeg_audio debug: emulated startcode (no startcode on following frame)
|
Do you have an idea of what fails?
Thanks |

could you post your icecast.xml, specially mount point settings).
I suspect your mpd is configured to send Ogg/Vorbis stream, and, without extension, VLC or WMP cannot detect format and try mp3 (mpeg_audio debug: emulated startcode (no startcode on following frame) ) message looks like a format recognittion error.
instead of :
Code: |
<mount>
<mount-name>/test</mount-name>
<max-listeners>1000</max-listeners>
</mount> |
try:
Code: |
<mount>
<mount-name>/test.ogg</mount-name>
<max-listeners>1000</max-listeners>
</mount> |
This will ensure all clients can find the right codec. _________________ Epsilon Friends Radio Icecast Radio on CentovaCast admin panel. Icecast hosting |
