Hello

i installed libshout3 per apt-get install libshout3 (2.2.2-1), and its installed.
But when i want to ./configure ices 0.4 there is the error:

Quote:
...
checking whether stripping libraries is possible... yes
appending configuration tag "F77" to libtool
checking for pkg-config... no
checking for shout-config... no
configure: error: Could not find a usable libshout

What can it be?

/conf/ices.conf wrote:

Shoutcast servers need "icy", icecast 1.x needs "xaudiocast", and
icecast 2.x needs "http". -->

remember that shoutcast uses 2 ports, so make sure both are not blocked.

ok, i will try it on the other port or its the "mountpoint" - i will try.

but there is the next problem.. ices is in the "/home/hlsw/shoutcast/ices/src" dir
and when i change the "ices.conf" (/home/hlsw/shoutcast/ices) and run "ices" again. Nothing changed Sad..

Where is the "real" config? where i can change the port etc ?

Quote:
mdehost:/home/hlsw/shoutcast/ices/src# ./ices -c ices.conf OR ices.xml
Cannot use config file (no XML support).

I believe that when ices 0.x is built and it cannot find the libxml2 development package then it will disable all xml reading capability.
