Icecast Streaming Media Server

First, thank you Icecast for a wonderful product!

Everything is running great, except for one little thing. I setup an intro file for each stream to be played at the beginning of the stream, and it seems to play that file just fine, but then the stream stops. I have heard of people having this problem with iTunes, but it seems I can't get winamp to play it correctly either. For each stream, i have an equally encoded intro file (i.e., i have a 128k stereo mp3 for my 128k stereo stream, etc..)

Here's what i'm running on my server:
Icecast 2.3.0 installed as an NT Service in Windows 2003 Standard
Winamp 2.95
Oddcast V3 DSP Plugin for winamp

Here's what i tested on the client side:
Winamp 5.11 Lite (playback stopped after intro file)
iTunes 6.0.1.3 (playback stopped after intro file)

To test this for yourself, use the following links:

The intro looks to be 48khz whereas the stream is 44.1khz, changing samplerates midstream may be something those players/drivers cannot do. xmms seems ok here though.

Great find! Thanks for the advice. I'm going to try reencoding those to 44.1khz now to see if this is the case.
