Hi,

I was reading through this post. After modiifying format_mp3.c with the patch it does work. However, I find it puzzling that only a particular content-length value works.
- Does anybody know why?
- Does it mean that it will play for that much size and stop after that?
- Also, where is Karl's modified icecast?

Thanks,
Madhuri

It's hard to know exactly why as I believe it's some internal flash issue but obviously there is some imposed limit within flash or IE that is causing a difference.

In theory yes, it should stop after that amount has been processed

For my branch work, look at my web page link.

karl.

Back in November I had to upgrade to a later version of the Wimpy player after I discovered the version I had been using didn't work with the latest version of Flash, that may be the problem you're running into.

To figure out whether or not that is the problem you might try listening to a couple of feeds on my site (link in signature) using IE 7.

I upgraded my wimpy player too and after that everything works fine perfectly. I never regret doing that upgrade. Cool.
