Icecast Streaming Media Server

Hi,

has anyone managed to install icecast to a QNAP NAS box?

I tried to install on to my QNAP TS-201 NAS box which runs a "non kernal"? version of linux (according to their support).

Busybox v1.01 is the version given on login via telnet

When i run configure i get a message about checking for a BSD-compatible install then I get an error when I try to compile an install - no acceptable compiler found in $PATH

Someone help as I am no Linux expert and I do not want to run a machine all the time just for Icecast if my NAS server can do it.

I already posted this in the developer branch and have been told to get a compiler (compiler.gcc being popular) - can anyone help further?
