i try as much i can but cant make it work. what is the problem? icecast dont recognize the source.

you say icecast doesn't recognise the source, but what does it do ? Does it see the stream connect but rejects it ? does it not see any connect attempt at all ? A check over of the error log might be useful

and you'll should give the mount point an extention, otherwise you risk confusing some clients.

"/live.mp3" is probably what you need.

ok, thanks. now i was transmiting in http://localhost:8000/live.mp3.m3u
and when i open that link, the player open and i can hear the same music i trasnmit. but when i givve the link to other people nothing hapen.

and it seems to be working good. so whats the problem?

"localhost" is the hostname of the local machine, so when you give that to other people their client will try to connect to the local machine, not your computer. You need to subsitute localhost for your public internet hostname or IP address.

I can't even see the status.xsl page with that IP, would indicate a routing or firewall issue.

this is what i see. when i click the mountpoint link it works. the peak listeners is 1 cause myself play the station.
