Hi

For a scouting broadcast project I'm planning a complete radio station for usage during a large camp in Switzerland next summer. I'm putting all the bits together and hope there will be a working station in the end.

We will broadcast mainly terrestrial but will also offer a web stream. I'm planning to use Ices to stream from the studio to an external Icecast server (there will not be enough bandwidth on the campsite to host an appropriate number of connects).

As it is required by law that everything that's broadcasted is backed up I'm looking for a solution to make backup files each one hour long and if possible even saved in one folder per day. Is there an add-on or similar for Ices, or else a standalone application to do this?

Regards
Martin

There are some vague points in your question so in general the answer could very well be to use a download app like wget or curl to retrieve the content from the stream. The only save file option that will switch over a duration like every hour is from my ices2 branch which you can get from my web page.
