Icecast Streaming Media Server

hi i'm using icecast in openSUSE 10.2 operating system.

i have installed icecast server it's running fine.

but i'm unable to run ices 0.4 .

i'm getting error with libshout (version 2.1)

upon running ices the error is somewhat like :

libshout :could not acess shared oject libraries:could not find such file or directory.

so plzz help me wth this.

You are probably missing some shared libs, a missing dependency from the package on that distro. Use ldd /path/to/ices to see what is not found then install the package containing whatever it is.

For opensuse 10.2, if you need ices-0.4, you have to get source package and compile. All binary builds are too old
