Icecast Streaming Media Server

Hi,

I'm having a little trouble getting sound out of a live stream from the microphone port. I know the ports are physically working because I can use the mixer to enable microphone audio on the speaker, and I can hear that.

I'm fairly sure that icecast is running okay, because I can successfully stream a test ogg file.

According to the ices.log file, it is talking to the icecast server (running on the same machine).

The metadata is successfully sent to the player (VLC) when I bother to put it in, and VLC tells me that the stream has been going for just over 37 minutes.

I must be doing something wrong, but I don't know what it is. Anyone any ideas?

I would guess that your mixer is not configured to capture from the Mic.
