I have Icecast v2.3.1 running on a windows xp pro computer and wanted to know how to set specific mounts to connect to and only allow those mounts. Right now I have a mount set as /live which seems to work but I tested trying to connect with a mount I do not have setup and it works also. Each mount also needs a different password.
I also want to set the mounts to only allow to be streamed at a specific bitrate right now the /live lets you stream at any bitrate.
Manly I was trying to set this server up for me and a few friends to run and I wanted to make sure my friends don't run it at high bitrate to burn up a lot of bandwidth. I have seen a lot of paid hosting server that set a limit on listeners and bitrate and wanted to do something like that.
thanks,
Chris |

I guess that you have to set /live's password to yours and entire server's password to another, so your DJs couldn't create new mountpoints. You can specify it in your config, details here: Icecast 2: specific mountpoints settings

Here you really must use KH-branch. See the Dev Branches section on this forum and get the last one. 2.3.1 hasn't any option to forbid bandwidth usage. _________________ polska dokumentacja serwera Icecast2 / polish documentation of Icecast2 |
