Icecast Streaming Media Server

Hello, I've got ices0 working with icecast2. I have 3 different config files thus three different ices processes. What I don't understand is why I can't seem to find the resultant ices.pid files anywhere on the system....I have the following directive set in my ices.conf files

<!-- This directory specifies where ices should put the logfile, cue file
and pid file (if daemonizing). Don't use /tmp if you have l33t h4x0rz
on your server. -->
<BaseDirectory>/var/log/ices</BaseDirectory>


The only files I see in the /var/log/ices directory are the log file and the cue file..I've even done a search of my system for *.pid files and I can't find anything....

Wow..nobody has seen this issue??..I'm using Fedora 10 for what it's worth..
