|
|
Hello to everyone.
First for all sorry for my bad english.
I've this problem.
Icecast works perfectly, but I have to chose between the microphone line or the music line (from Winamp) and I can't use both of them simultaneously.
Is there any advanced option to capture both at the same time? (I use dsp_oddcast_v2)
I know that probably someone else has opened a topic like this, but I didn't found it.
So be patient, please.
Have a nice day. |

If you need to use a mixer then you can use the soundcard mixer, enable a mic input and pcm input to be captured and configure edcast to capture from soundcard.

usually you can set the mixer to capture from various inputs including Mic line and pcm but the labeling varies depending on the setup. on alsa for instance there is usually a setting named Mix which when enabled captures all the input currently enabled.

Thanx I've solved it!
The last important thing (even if this is not the right place to ask) :
Can you tell me where I can find the exactly link of my radio to give to my potential listeners?
I've try http://"mylanip":8000/example.ogg
And It works when I want to listen to my self using my own PC.....
But how can I determine the link for the listeners outsider my lan?
Thank you. |

The IP part is allocated to the NAT box, usually via DHCP so it could change, which is usually why some use dynamic DNS, but if you want to know what your current IP is without going onto the NAT box then just go to an external site that reports it like www.whatsmyip.org

The url for the stream would be http://ip:port/example.ogg but for a playlist you need to add a m3u extension on the end.

I've tried in vain.
http://myip:8000/example.ogg
Another PC using VLC or Winamp can't open this link.
The error code is this:
VLC is unable to open the MRL 'http://myip:8000/example.ogg'. Check the log for details.
Why? |

try a browser on http://myip:8000/ first. If that doesn't work then you have a firewall or NAT issue. I cannot say without specifics.

| Is it possible that it depends from the fact tha I have unchecked the option "public server"? |

well I cannot use 192.168.x.x addresses but if that is what you are trying with your browser and it works then use that for the streaming player. I cannot verify the ogg stream from here as I don't have your address.
