i have installed oddcast encorder and have down loaded the new version of icecast i cant get my encorder working i tryed a few opion to configure in oddcast but can get it going can u take me throught the procedures to use ice cast as my local host and port 8000

To test icecast use the host and port in a browser. If that produces the status page then icecast is running. If your question is about the source client then you should be clear on what the problem is.

thank karl i cant get the odd cast encorder up and running thats the problem ip = local host it the basic setting i am having problems with
on the encorder. any suggetions the icecast servicer is going
but cant get my encorder going. any suggetions |

moved here because the problem is related to a 3rd party source client.
You need to be clearer on the diagnosis "I can't get X running" is of no use. You need to explain what procedures you do which fail. You should also check the forums for the source client in question as there may already be an answer.
