Hi Guys,
I have been using icecast for a while now but i am still pretty much a noob when it comes to configuration 
Basically I would like to have 3 bitrates (which i use stream transcoder for). I also want archives to run when there is no live DJ.
On top of this i would like to record all the live shows in the highest bitrate.
Unfortunately it would seem that i have things connected wrong. I do get 3 different bitrates, and I have a fallback stream for the archives, but the recordings include the fallback stream.
Can anyone help?
Karl do you do configs for people for a fee or something??
Also, how difficult would it be to use icecast to set up a live video stream that can be embedded into a web media player? and how easy would it be for the DJ's to broadcast in this way, i.e. would there be lots of tools to install?

There is no setting for icecast to specially deal with streams for web clients. The key factors are formats and player, eg theora and a java applet.
As for saving the live content, that isn't too difficult but depending on the situation will depend on the best approach. The most simplest is the dump-file setting.
