Hi all,

I'm looking into using Icecast to accept incoming video streams, from N > 1 remote clients with a webcam and microphone. Does anyone know if Icecast supports this or would be able to without too much hassle?

Thanks for the help.

icecast can handle a number of streams at the same time, whether they are video or not. You may need a recent version if you intend to use multiple shoutcast source clients though.

Oh, cool. Thanks.

Is there a download page for the client you can direct me to? I'm looking at the shoutcast client page but I'm not sure if it's what you recommend.

hard to answer a non-specific question, depends on what you want from the client. vlc is a possibility

I'd like the client to be able to broadcast its video signal to a central server which would then record it for rebroadcast.

That looks to be a different question. You can record a broadcast by using the dump-file setting or by using a non-gui client like wget or curl.
